This RPL Assessor Guide provides information on how to assess an RPL Candidate in a unit of competency.
What is RPL?
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is an assessment only process aimed at recognising skills knowledge and experience that have obtained in either a formal or informal education or work environment.
The RPL process for is designed for those who are currently working or have recently worked in a role that meets the requirements of a qualification and will help determine eligibility to teach competency based training in the area of expertise or if working under supervision is required.
RPL is a formal assessment process and is based on a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates current competence in the qualification requirements.
